Testing for psychological conditions, such as Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other diagnoses is generally conducted by psychologists and psychiatrists (physicians who specialize in mental health after getting their M.D.)

Testing is a labor-intensive process and can be expensive. Lower-cost testing is available at the following university centers. Due to high demand, the waitlists are often long.

For-profit testing

We hesitate to mention for-profit services because they are generally out of reach, financially, for our service populations. We include them here because testing is a hard-to-find service with waitlists of months to over a year.

Be aware: not all people with “Dr.” in front of their names are medical doctors (M.D.). Instead they have advanced academic degrees — PhD’s. Here are some for-profit options:
